What's a Bear?

Bears are gay men, and like bears in nature we come in all shapes, sizes, colors and temperaments (grrr). But mostly gay bears are large men, and usually hairy to one degree or another (the only fur that's still PC). Beyond those common points we're a very diverse bunch.

And we're proud of our diversity. Pretty much anyone is welcome to join us. But like all groups we do have our rules (see How Do I Join? below). I know, rules are so annoying but where would we be without them?

How Do I Join?

Membership is open to men, age eighteen (18) or older, who are friends of the bear community, and are able to attend RBC events. There are no dues or business meetings. RBC is administered using Yahoo! Groups, so to recieve notification of events you must have a Yahoo! ID (which is free). Members can sign up for event attendance polls. Event notices are automatically emailed to RBC members and contain links to event polls. Click here to go to the Yahoo! Groups site and sign up!
