What do Bears do Together?

I can hear you giggling out there. Get your minds out of the gutter. I'm talking about our programs.

In addition to our two monthly dinners (usually 1st Tuesdays & 3rd Fridays) we try to offer events that reflect the diverse interests of the group. Here are some of the programs we've offered in the last couple of years.

Hiking in Shenandoah National Park w/dinner at Blue Mountain Brewery, Build-a-Bear Night, Kayaking on the Rappahanock River, Movie Nights, Camping in Shenandoah National Park w/side trip to Luray Caverns, Shopping trips to Ikea, Tubing on the James River, a Spaghetti Dinner for Charity, the Richmond Highland Games & Celtic Festival (you can't beat big men in Kilts), the Maymont Flower and Garden Show, a Tour of a Solar Powered Home, & RBC Weekend at the Guest House in Lost River, WV. Any member can host an event. And the moderators are happy to help you with setting up a poll on the Yahoo! Group page so you'll know who's coming along. An event can be pretty much anything you can imagine. If you're going to DC on a site seeing trip and want to invite the guys along, do it. If you want to host a dinner at your house, or have a pool party, do it! If you want to have an orgy... Sorry but this is strictly a social group, so no events of a sexual nature please. How Do I Join?

Membership is open to men, age eighteen (18) or older, who are friends of the bear community, and are able to attend RBC events. There are no dues or business meetings. RBC is administered using Yahoo! Groups, so to recieve notification of events you must have a Yahoo! ID (which is free). Members can sign up for event attendance polls. Event notices are automatically emailed to RBC members and contain links to event polls. Click here to go to the Yahoo! Groups site and sign up!
